"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

The Car is Coming!

We have just received word that our new car will be here on Sunday. We can't wait! I am sure Cody will want to spend the entire day driving or just sitting in it....

A "Wii" Bit of a Workout

Cody got a Wii for Christmas from his mom and dad and a Wii Fit from his cousins, Chris and Dee. We have had so much fun playing on that thing, but it really is a serious workout. First you get on there and it tells you your Wii Fit age--mine was 37! Cody did much better than I did; I think he was 27. I didn't think I was that out of shape! Just from playing on it for one day, I am already SO sore! My arm hurts from bowling, and my legs are sore from the Yoga exercises. Oh well, I guess if you are going to exercise, you might as well have fun doing it!

Visiting Granddaddy

This year at Christmas was a little different because my granddaddy was not able to join us at our traditional get-togethers. He is in the Lutheran Home with Alzheimer's, so we all decided to go visit him after our family lunch at Joye and Terry's. We took him outside on the patio because it was such a nice day. He seemed to be in good spirits and even said, "Merry Christmas!" We love you Granddaddy!
P.S. In the picture, you can see his "baby." He loves this baby doll and takes it with him where ever he goes. He talks to it and loves on it all the time.

The Endless Days of Christmas...

We stay SO busy around Christmas time with our families. Each year, our schedule is packed! On Christmas Eve, we go to my Grandmother's house to have Christmas. This is a tradition that we have done ever since I can remember. We eat dinner, which always includes chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-a, cheese ball and crackers, vegetables and dip, mini sandwiches, and lots more! On Christmas morning, Cody and I open presents with each other, and then open presents with my mom and dad. Then we head down to Cody's mom and dad's to eat a huge breakfast and open presents with his family. From there, we go to my cousins' house to have lunch. Then it is back to my mom and dad's to have Christmas with the Noble family where we eat dinner and play the Dirty Santa game. Even though Christmas is so jam packed with so many activities, we couldn't imagine it any other way. Family and traditions are what make these times so special....

Santa Came to See Connor!

Santa came to see Connor, our nephew, on Christmas Eve at Mary's house. Cody and I, along with my mom and dad, Jeremy, and Jeremy's mom and dad, were at Mary's in time to see Connor wake up and see that Santa had left him presents! Santa brought him a train table with a train set and a McDonald's drive-thru. He loved them! We also let him open the gifts we brought him--Candy Land, Mr. Bucket, books, Santa stamps, and a penguin that "poops" out candy. He had so much fun!

Our new car!

Cody's car has been a good car, considering that it lasted about 11 years and is still running! However, we figured it was a good time for us to get him a new car. We have been looking for a Honda Pilot, but didn't have any luck finding one that we liked in Greenville. We were lucky to find one in Hickory when we came home for Christmas. It is a 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L RES in sagebrush pearl (gray green). We love it!

Our first post...
